The Gift of the Holy Spirit

Sunday evening I had the opportunity to preach at our church about the Ministry of the Holy Spirit. It’s a part of an ongoing series about the heart of Jesus.

After listing several roles of the Holy Spirit in our lives, I challenged the church in two ways.
- To be SENSATIVE to the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit was given to us in part to lead and guide us into all truth. The problem is many Christians aren't listening.
- To be SURRENDERED to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Other Christians sense the Spirit's leading, but for various reasons, say NO. Quenching the very work God wants to do through us.
I hope this message is a challenge to you as it was for me in preparing it.
